Updating ruby mac what is the name of the dating site with fish

Working as an i OS instructor at Flatiron School I became very familiar with the process of setting up brand new Macs for development.

Because some of our internal tooling required Ruby 2.x, and Macs up through December 2016 ship with 1.9.3 as the default, I had to learn the upgrade process for Ruby.

Also, as you begin to work on more Ruby projects, you’ll need to work with multiple Ruby versions.

Luckily, several tools exist to help us install and manage multiple Ruby versions. As a matter of fact, installing rbenv on mac OS Sierra is easy thanks to Homebrew.

When Xcode has been installed, go ahead and open it up and accept the license agreement.

This step seems trivial, but it’s necessary to continue. If you’re upgrading Ruby without any intention of developing for i OS/mac OS/etc., run the following in Terminal and proceed with any instructions that appear: Note: Don’t type the dollar sign.

Open up the App Store and check for any available updates or upgrades.

If you don’t have the latest version of mac OS, take the time to get it.

If you’re only interested in Ruby, you can stop after “Installing Ruby.”Ruby version 2.0.0 comes installed on mac OS Sierra.

However, support for Ruby 2.0.0 ended on February 26, 2016.

This process can take a while depending on your internet connection and how old your computer is, but it’s worth the effort.
